my first take!

Hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, accidents... they all make news from time to time. Some see them as the payoff for offending their God. That especially applies to some televangelists, who pronounce such a verdict after each catastrophe. What a vengeful God they must subscribe to!
Others see these events as evidence of nature's wrath, but lawyer and orator Robert Green Ingersoll put it best when he said, "In nature there are neither rewards nor punishments; there are consequences." We may mess with an ecosystem and then we have to face the consequences. What a pity that often those who make a mess stay far behind, in space and time, to face the consequence.....
Wondering why i began with this thought? Well, if u take a good look at my uploaded photograph, the fact will sink in..... This incident has suddenly has left me out of place and also with ample time to finally come up with this blog which i had been thinking of creating since quite sometime! Not that i wasn't influenced to do this, thanks to one of my best pals-Jahnab. Do check out his blog-tezpuretc.blogspot.com. U'll love his repartee, besides his cool take on life!
Coming back to me....well the fateful incident took place on 26th Sept, 2008 - we, BT VII sem, were off to a so called educational trip, accompanied by our Dear HOD (she always manages to make a jackass of the Principal, who ends up believing that we've a genuine thirst for knowledge, but between us, let me tell u that its only an excuse for another memorable outing! We were supposed to visit some farming area related to us, so called biotechnologists, in the outskirts of the city, but ended up trekking the highest point in Kanataka- Shivgange! Even HOD climbed to the roof of our bus, seeing which the driver, on my request, playfully started the engine while she was still up there!!! So far so good......right? but not so from now...eh...It goes this way- Dunno why but even after everyone climbed to roof of the bus, I had hesitated for so long..even most of the girls went up and came down.. i guess i had reserved my best shot, which came with the onset of a rush of adrenaline flow, driving me to climb up to the roof which was by now less crowded with most of my classmates standing below. I wont hesitate to acknowledge the pleas from almost everyone present there, warning me again n again not to test my calcium content! But crazy that i m, not withstanding these, i jumped with the image of "Batman-the Gotham Knight" at the back of my mind and landed on the rough patch of ground from almost 9feet high! My right shoe landed perfect, but not so fortunate was my left shoe, which kissed the ground with a twitch, consequently manoeuvring my ankle to a critical angle....Even if that hurt, i had no idea then and all i did was give a smirk to those who were askin if i had hurt myself! Even i sounded quite confident that the max i would end up with would be a sprain.... Here i would like to clarify my stance on the incident- it was purely a stunt, resulting out of an excessive flow of adrenaline and bear no resemblane or influence to any person, who did the same feat before me! Readers, please acknowledge this fact; i m solely responsible for this and no one had anything to do with this stunt, so dont go on blaming others. Thats why i have already mentioned the fact that everyone present tried to stop me. So we began our journey back from Shivgange! While in the bus, i could feel a slight pain building up with some swelling but i i dismissed it as nothing and pushed it from my mind... only after i got down in Marathalli, that i realized on persuasion of my friends, i needed a damn X-ray! So off we went to the nearby MGAN hospital to wrap my first ever plaster, shelling out a extravagant 2700! Finally, we returned to the hostel and fell on my bed to begin my 21 days voyage to insanity! However i dont believe in regrettin n i'll soon b back with a bang..after all its worth the risk, what say guys.... Its the 3rd day runnin now n i'll keep updated.....
